A New Day...a new blog...

We are having a wonderful snow storm this week. Can you see my tree?

Santa & Rudolph seem to feel right at home in our "Arctic Blast"

A view from my porch...brrr!

Hi everyone...welcome to my new blog. I am looking forward to keeping you up-to-date with my ongoing craft projects, home decor, cooking and baking...and so much more! I will link this blog to my etsy and ebay sites as I continue to sell vintage and original creations. I hope you will find this to be a cozy place to put on your slippers and hang out for a few minutes each day. I will be honored to have you!

We are having a winter storm this week, and it isn't even winter yet! It has been snowing (off and on) since Sunday morning. The temperatures are below freezing and are expected to remain that way until next week! More snow today and a new storm coming in Sunday, Monday and Tuesday! I love it...definitely feels like Christmas! School has been cancelled since Monday. Think I will put on my boots and go for a walk (maybe just to the mailbox).

  1. White Christmas what a treat!

I was remembering days long ago when our parents couldn't afford anything let alone a tree and yet when we went to bed on the eve of Christmas our home was as usual only to be awakened the next morning with trees in our rooms, down the hallways, and a real beauty in our living room, fully decorated with gifts wrapped and balloons that gave the lights on the tree a magical twinkle.

Santa was magic, only Santa could have transformed our home into Christmas while we dreamt the night away. What magic can we create this year for those kind of memories for our children or grandchildren to remember some 45 years later long after I am gone and doubtfully remembered for anything other than what I can do today!

Live life magically, warm socks, hot coco with fluffy marsh mellows, smells of pine cones and cinnamon, Frosty the Snowman on the TV, smiles of youth and laughter of little ones filling the air, Santa is magic, thanks for being one of my Santa's and giving me such wonderful memories of my youth long ago spent yet memories savored.

    All My Love Forever,

    Your Brother Kevin

  3. Carrie, when I find a new-to-me blog, I like to check out the very first post. Looks like you started a little over a year before I did.
