Not Your Mama's Cookies...Gluten Free

My twin daughters were recently told by their doctor
that they should go on a
"Gluten-Free" diet due to their thyroid numbers.
It seems this is getting more prevalent each day!
I love to bake for them...
So I thought I would give this chocolate chip cookie mix a try...

And I gotta tell you...they were delicious!
The mix was loaded with chocolate chips.
You only have to add one egg and 2 tablespoons butter.
It made 18 large, crunchy cookies!
And only 80 calories and 1 gram of fat per cookie.
Zero Trans Fat too!
I popped them in this "Chinese Take-Out Box" and...
off we went apartment hunting...snack in tow!

  3. Haven't had this brand but have had [I think it's Betty Crocker...] and they were goooood. Isn't that bad to not remember the name of the maker?!? But it's a regularly known brand.

I used the low fat way of making them. Which substituted oil for butter. And since I can't eat chocolate either, shook out the ch. chips with a colander.

But they were gooooooood!!!! Even this way!!!!!

I just happened to see this/your post title, in my Google Reader page, and popped over. I'll be most happy if you share more gluten-free ideas. Since you have daughters in need of gluten free stuff.

And twin daughters, at that! I am fascinated with the topic of twins. I'm not, nor do they run in my family, so I don't have anyone to really ask. It's such a fascinating subject.

Have no idea what their ages are. I'm in my 70's and have needed this gluten free change, for only a matter of months. I'm sorry they have to do it, when they must be young. -le sigh-

    Gentle hugs...

  16. What a loving gesture from a caring and concerned mom. Not to mention how cute the container was. My neice started a bakery in their home making all glutten free foods. They did this since they both discovered that they had too. The business has grown so much that they now purchased a warehouse. She makes the best glutten free soft pretzels! Great idea that you shared.
