Our Tour Continues...to a very special room!

It is a room we all love...
A room so near and dear to us...
It is "Craft Room" Day...
Come & See what I have done...

My baskets are filled with my fabric sorted by colors!

I didn't have room for my "Pot Rack" in this smaller kitchen so I used it in here...
...it holds the baskets that I use for my gifts and crafts!

I've gotta have my ribbons close at hand...
... all it takes is an empty cabinet and some tension rods!

Jars make for excellent storage!
You don't even have to buy them...just use up your empty mayonaise and pickle jars!
Goo-gone or Goof- off help take off the labels...after a hot water soak!

I get extra storage by using this over-the-door shoe holder!
All of my tulle is handy to grab here...

My "Dolly Dressmaker" has been my sewing assistant since I was about 7 or 8 yearts old.
She was a gift from my Grandpa.
She used to light up and the little pictures would shift on the fabric as she stitched away.

Turntables are always a fun way to organize your pens, pencils, cutting blades, etc.
Look for them at the Thrift Store!

And of course I had to use every spare inch of the closet too!

Well there you have it...
I am so lucky to have a my lovely new townhome with room for a CRAFT ROOM still!
I am even more lucky to have such sweet blogging friends like you and my dear friend  Deborah from Midlife Poet!
Deborah honored me today with the Mental Ninja Award!
Isn't that just awesome?

How did I get so lucky?
Thanks so much, Deborah!  You are a "Mental Ninja" too!!

Remnember: All of your names are going to be put in my "jar"...
for a special giveaway drawing at the end of our tour together!
See you tomorrow!

  9. You are so organized - does it stay that way when you're working on things? And I have to say -- that pot rack is *genius*! I have one that doesn't work in my current kitchen so...I'm thinking it's going into the Doily Factory prontito. Thanks for that great idea - have (warm!) wonderful weekend. -amy

  10. Oh Carrie! It just really delights me that with all that you have dealt with...God's blessings are all over you!!

You new home is really great, and I love seeing all of your special touches throughout!! It is all so lovely, and that craft room...simply amazing! I want to live in there!! :o)

LOVE all of your jars! My craft room is in the bay window in my bedroom, with stuff stashed in and under stuff! I think I am going to put up a curtain rod and make some drop cloth panels so I can just cover it up. It doesn't look bad, but I have been trying to make our bedroom into a lovely his and her sanctuary...but the craft area is a must, and there is nowhere else to put it! Maybe one day I'll actually post some pics!!

Have a wonderful weekend, gal! So glad you are doing so well!
    Blessings and hugs,
    Becky

  42. I'm new to your blog but what a treat to virtually "smell" your cookies (I didn't know the paper bag tip!) to the FABULOUS Craft room!!! Mine is about that size so you have inspired me to go use some of your organizing tricks. I don't know why you downsized but looks like it turned into a "good thing" as Martha Stewart always says. I'll be coming back. May I invite everyone over to my blog www.grandmamasstories.blogspot.com for some family fun, tips for entertaining children/grandchildren, baking, and a little wisdom from a retired teacher now stay at home grandmother of 5. I also share some of my mother's sage advice which can be very colorful and funny because she was a very quirky individual who loved her family fiercely! Come join me and tell others about me. I'm from Alabama so come on down for some southern hospitality.
