Mixing it up...Vintage Style!

Look at this Fabulous Retro Find for my daughter!

 It's a Vintage 1950's Sunbeam Mixer...
...with the original glass bowls and the two sets of beaters!
The mixer pops off to switch to a hand held style!
It was only $5.00 at a garage sale!

My soon-to-be 21 year old daughter is starting her 3rd year at college.
She just moved into her very own 1920's era apartment downtown.
(She lived with 3 other girls last year!)

She loves to bake (especially cupcakes)!
She is going to be excited!
Of course I had to try it out first...so I made her a pan of  "blondies" !

Happy Baking!

The mixer reminds me of my mom's back in the 50's. Neat! She made some great Brownies with her mixer! :)

That is a nice addition to your daughter's kitchen.

Oh you are The Best Mombie ever! Yet another fantastic find. Isn't it wonderful to help set up a daughter on her own (after the tears, of course). Wishing you a lovely long weekend, my friend! **blows kisses** Deb

How fun! My daughter would love that too! An apartment by herself is so wonderful. My youngest has two roommates and the drama never ends. Best wishes to her. Love the view!

What a fun, exciting find. I would have been thrilled. The area where your daughter moved is so quaint and beautiful! I would be visiting her all the time. I am sure with the two of you working on decorating the apartment in vintage fashion...it will be so adorable. Her Labor Day will be a good one when she receives this Mixer and blondies.

I love downtown Portland, and I love 1920's era homes! Your daughter is so lucky! (especially to be getting blondies from mom!)
My mom had a mixer with those same bowls circa early 80's. It made me smile!
