Mixing it up...Vintage Style!

Look at this Fabulous Retro Find for my daughter!

 It's a Vintage 1950's Sunbeam Mixer...
...with the original glass bowls and the two sets of beaters!
The mixer pops off to switch to a hand held style!
It was only $5.00 at a garage sale!

My soon-to-be 21 year old daughter is starting her 3rd year at college.
She just moved into her very own 1920's era apartment downtown.
(She lived with 3 other girls last year!)

She loves to bake (especially cupcakes)!
She is going to be excited!
Of course I had to try it out first...so I made her a pan of  "blondies" !

Happy Baking!

  1. The mixer reminds me of my mom's back in the 50's. Neat! She made some great Brownies with her mixer! :)

That is a nice addition to your daughter's kitchen.

  8. What a fun, exciting find. I would have been thrilled. The area where your daughter moved is so quaint and beautiful! I would be visiting her all the time. I am sure with the two of you working on decorating the apartment in vintage fashion...it will be so adorable. Her Labor Day will be a good one when she receives this Mixer and blondies.

  19. I love downtown Portland, and I love 1920's era homes! Your daughter is so lucky! (especially to be getting blondies from mom!)
My mom had a mixer with those same bowls circa early 80's. It made me smile!
