My First Game of Tag...

My friend Cindy at Letters from Midlife tapped me on the shoulder...
and asked me to play along!  Here goes...

1. Who would you like to see in concert and have a backstage pass to meet?
Well...a year before her death I had the privilege of seeing the sensational Eartha Kitt in concert and had the honor of meeting her briefly after the show.  I have always adored her...so that was a very special treat.  In her 80's she was simply gorgeous,  sexy and regal at the same time! Her voice and musical styling was impeccable!

2. What one skill would you like to possess that you can't already do?

For sure ~I would love to be able to play the piano~
But it is never too late right?
3. What fictional character (from books or movies) would you like to meet?

Clark Kent comes to mind... or perhaps Rhett Butler!

4. Where would your dream home be located?

I love living here in Oregon...
... but a view of the river would be lovely!

5. If you could switch careers or start one for the first time, what would you like to do?

A professional singer would be fantastic.
I have had the opportunity to perform in quite a few musicals in recent years...it was wonderful...
but to sing with a small jazz band
...now that would be a dream come true!

6. If money, responsibility and fear weren't considerations, what one great adventurous thing would you attempt?
I would buy a huge property with many acres
and many houses so my large extended family could
all live close by!
I did say many acres right?

7. What Biblical event would you like to witness?

Oh there are so many...
The parting of the Red Sea comes to mind....the mightyness of it all!
To have sat by and listened to Jesus speak would have been awesome
or to have been there to offer Him a cool glass of water at the well.

  3. I loved your answers! I am like you with #5...I have sung many leads in musicals and I would have loved to sing like the torch singers, just stand at the mike an sing! Loved the thoughts about Jesus too..and we can hear him speak to us now..in the scriptures and through prayer! :D

  4. We have some land and since the economy has gotten so scary, we have discussed having a family compound! I'm not sure that it is enough land though!!!

I would love to have seen Jesus in the transfiguration! Or just touched the hem of his robe!

  6. Just tuned in and when read about you loving to sing, thought we have another thing in common. Funny how someone's life can be similar to your own in ways and yet live on the other side of the world! I would have loved to be able to have a conversation with Jesus while He was living his human life here on earth too. I wonder what He and I would have said and what would I have seen in His eyes as He looked at me.

  9. Hi Carrie,
I would have answered the same on all questions except. The person I would want to see in concert and meet in person, would have been Elvis. I did see him in concert but never meant him in person.
Also what fictional character would I like to meet, that would be, "Castle" or "Samatha" from Bewitched.
    That was fun..
Have a sweet day and hugs, Elizabeth
