Frosting cupcakes the easy way...

Piping frosting onto cupcakes, instead of simply spreading it on, can really change the look of your desserts.
Making neat little swirls creates a pretty and more professional finished look!
I have all the Wilton decorating tips and bags, etc...
...but the easiest way to pipe on frosting is to use a regular plastic bag.
(even a zip lock)
Just scrape the frosting into the bag with a spatula, twist the bag at the top and snip off the corner.

Happy Icing,
Carrie

  1. My daughter just finished having a cupcake. She sliced off the bottom and put it over the nicely decorated icing to make a cupcake sandwich. Said the idea came from Sandra Lee.

We mostly make cakes, but still, the icing in a zip lock can make it fun on a cake, too. Thanks for giving me an idea for our next baking project.

PS and when I want to get fancy I sometime put a frosting tip in the corner of the bag :)

  6. Oh those look so good right now. Very pretty too. I'll have to try that. I use my Pampered Chef tool, but have to clean it up. With a bag you could just toss it.
