Saying Goodbye....

I am so sorry to have been away for a time, but after a long illness,
my step father passed away and
I traveled to California to be with my mom!
Hal was 83 and he and my mom had a wonderful marriage and a very full life!

While in California I was able to lunch with my mom and her girlfriends....
(aren't they beautiful?)

Visit the local "Cupcake Wars" winning cupcake shop...

...and give my mom a mini-make-over!

And despite us all coming down with a terrible intestinal flu...(awful)
I truly cherished our time together (every minute)!

We love you, Hal, and miss you already!

I will post my "matchbox" challenge tomorrow!

Hugs,
Carrie

Saying "goodbye" is always so hard. I am sorry. I'm glad that you got to spend some good time with your mom though. Yes, they are beautiful ladies.

So sorry about your stepfather...it's so nice that your mom had a happy and full marriage and I'm sure all those beautiful memories will get her through this difficult time. It was great that you were able to spend some time together and how sweet of you to give her a make over ~ It's times like these that we realize how precious time is.

Hope you're feeling better{{{hugs}}}

It's nice that you had time to spend with your mother. I sense that you two are very close; something that I understand.

I hope her girl pals will be there for her as she adjusts to the passing of her husband/your step-dad; I'm sure they will.

My condolences.
