Dear Friends...

Image result for little heartI haven't been blogging for quite some time...so many things have happened in my life; moves, job changes, illness and surgeries, ...weddings...deaths...new babies, heartache and joy...life goes on. The atmosphere of social media has changed too; there's Facebook and Instagram,,,Twitter, Vimeo and LinkedIn...YouTube, Tumbler...the list goes on and on. There really is no end to the "World Wide Web". We each have 24 hours in any given day and we have to make decisions how to use them. I have missed my blog and the friends I made here. I missed the positivity and creativity found here. No ads...no pop-ups...no competition for "friends"! Just a forum to share my life and the things I like to do with like minded people. So here I am...back to my little spot at "Cottage Cozy". And it feels good to be home...I'm looking forward to catching up.

Stay Cozy,
Carrie

  7. Happy to see you here. I still like blogging. Only blog a few times a week but it is peaceful and happy. Sure I like Facebook but it can be draining. Sending BIG ((HUGS)) your way for all that you have been through. Take Care.

Blogging has changed so much and whilst I've rolled with the punches I still try to retain some of the magic from 'the old days'.

  12. I love this post. It just occurred to me that perhaps I loved the blogging years so much because they were some of the happiest years of my life...before I knew how everything could be lost. We were all so content in our simple homemaking lives. It was DeLovely. All of it. I long to write again, yet, I may resist because the ache of longing for my Husband and the life we had together is so intricately woven into my every day. I do not want to put negativity out into the world, and I fear that is how my writing would be viewed. It wasn't the house as much as it was the life we lived there. I am actually proud of myself for continuing on the way I have, for making a new work home in my teaching, for the friends there who at times forcefully pull me into their own personal lives. Yet, I feel that I have lost so much of who I used to be, the things that brought me joy, peace, and contentment. I am okay. I am a mighty woman. But there is not one day that would not have been better if Gary were still here at my side. How to hold 37 years in my heart and try at the same time to build a life alone is a very difficult thing to balance. Oh look, I've written a blog post in your comments! I am so grateful to have had you in my life. I'd like to know more about your challenges.

    All my love to you,
    Deb
