What does the color of your front door say about you?
My front door is red. (actually wineberry)
A Red Door Says You Are Brutally Honest
You are bold, brave, and easily excited.
You are passionate about what you believe.
And you're never afraid to tell people exactly what you think.
You're picky and particular. It's sometimes hard to meet your standards.
Hmmm...I''ll have to think about that?
But it is amazing how much your entry can say about you...it is the first impression of your home!

ReplyDeleteLove the red!
ReplyDeleteOurs is light green--previous owners choice.
Check to see what the quiz said and it was pretty accurate.
Too fun.

Right now I have a glass door . . . kind of transparent. I used to have a red one though and I loved it! xxoo
ReplyDeleteYour door is beautiful and I would love to have a red door. However, my house is trimmed in brown (yuk) and I don't know if it would look right. However, my door definitely needs attention!!! I'm still contemplating what to do!
ReplyDeletemy entryway is saying...
ReplyDeleteHeeeeeeelp me!!! lol. No, wait, it is saying.. "Please remove this ugly patriotic heart wreath thingy"
~I think It is time to change it's underwear ~
My husband did fix the stone steps last week.. they were cracking and needed filled. They look amazing now.
Your front however... Is gorgeous just like the rest of your home.
Happy September.
( Can't wait to fill my front steps with pumpkins )
I must be boring mine is gray...but we don't hardly ever use our front door....
ReplyDeleteMine is actually in it's lovely primed stage from when I purchased it 3 years ago! Isn't that terrible?
ReplyDeleteI'm debating going red myself :) Your home is lovely!!
This is fun, Carrie! Your front door looks very inviting, a big warm welcome!! Off to slick your link...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the new week. xxooxx
I have always painted my front door and just convinced my mom and dad to do the same...theirs is just like yours..red..LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you my sweet freind..I have missed you. xoxoxo
Beautiful front door! I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love the quiz you posted. :) Here's what mine said:
Your Door Says You Are Effortlessly Chic
You are traditional and conventional.
You aim for the best in life, and you're not going to risk not getting it.
You are naturally stylish and sophisticated.
You feel like you are blending in with the crowd, but your good taste makes you stand out.
How nice! :) Like getting an unexpected hug! Guess I better go paint my door green to match the description! ha ha!
thanks for sharing.
My front door was the same color as yours last year. We painted the house last year and I changed it to a milk choclate brown to go with the blue. They did't have that one listed. It looks yummy, hah.
ReplyDeleteYour red door is lovely, but I'm not sure that description fits you. I had to chuckle when mine said I was "stylish and sophisticated".. LOL, they couldn't be more wrong!
ReplyDeleteAh boy! My door is BRIGHT red and all that you wrote is true about me ... and as my sister has pointed out (about those things), "Sometimes that is a good thing about you, and sometimes it isn't." Uh oh!
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie,
ReplyDeleteMy front door is RED too! I adore RED and to me it is a very exciting color. I love your door! and entry, very welcoming and pretty.
Have a sweet day, hugs~Elizabeth
I like your red door. Something about a red door seems very welcoming to me.
ReplyDeleteSince my door color wasn't listed in the quiz, I chose yellow. Apparently I am Happily Helpful.
How funny! I have had a red door...painted it that color in early marriage and young kids. Now we are renting and I can't paint...so one day when God gives us another home to make my mark on we will see what color I choose...that will be interesting to see if I have changed.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your red door!!
Hi Carrie! I think your wineberry door most likely speaks to your true personality. A perfectionist I bet but tempered with kindness. Fascinating post about Red Mill. I had an assignment in an organic market and became familiar with this product. Do you have siliac's? (sp?) You really do make wonderful food without gluten, I am very impressed! My husband would like to take us on a trip to Hawaii next year by way of San Francisco. If this occurs, I am gathering together as many West Coast girls as I possibly can! Such a fun post, I love seeing your home and talent for decorating! E
ReplyDeleteHmmmm... I have exactly the same color front door and I'm thinking that many of those characteristics (or flaws....lol) apply to me. I'm definitely not bold or brave however.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly, the door was that color when we bought the house, so I guess I really had no say in it.
Interesting post Carrie!
I have a red front door-
ReplyDeleteat home and my summer cottage-I wonder if all they say about Red Door people is true-It may be-I related a lot to the description...
Hi Carrie,
ReplyDeleteMy door is black, but have been wanting to change it. I think I will check this site out before i decide. Thanks for sharing.Yours is so pretty.

I've always liked the look of a red door. Ours is green, it came that way with the house but I love the color.
ReplyDeleteBrown. It's solid wood & stained. But we don't love it. It's hard to open sometimes and we dont even use it. We use the side door that opens to our screen room. We'd like to replace it one day with a door that has windows and let some more light in.
ReplyDeleteOOOOooo I just went and took the test from the above post and chose RED too! I have a lot of Chinese Red in my home. I Love love LOVE your front porch. It says Cozy Cottage to me.
ReplyDelete**kisskiss** Deb
Your entry way says Welcome! Your whole house does! I'll have to see what my door says about me! :)
ReplyDeleteWhy RED of course!! lol...Gotta have my red..
ReplyDeleteYou are bold, brave, and easily excited....yepper, true!
You are passionate about what you believe....got that right!
And you're never afraid to tell people exactly what you think....ummmm,,ya..true, but I'm learning to curb my tongue these days, don't have to tell everyone my opinion..lol
You're picky and particular...like YEPPER..and why can't the family get with the program,,LOL It's sometimes hard to meet your standards...SIGH..yes,,I'm learning though..let go!!
