🐢 When Surgery Calls for a Giggle 🐢

🐾🐾🐾

My friend had to have surgery on a cancer spot on her nose for the 2nd time
and was feeling a bit self-conscious about the stitches, bandage etc.

She and I have known each other over 25 years and we can joke around
with each other... so, I made this card for her.

It was well received, and put a big smile on her face!

 Keep up the Giggles,

and Stay Cozy too,

πŸ‹ Lemon Sunshine in the Mail: A Birthday Surprise πŸ‹

πŸ‹πŸ‹πŸ‹

Today I’m sharing a sweet little birthday bundle I put together for my niece — a handmade card paired with a few cheerful goodies, all mailed off to brighten her day from miles away. When you can’t celebrate in person, sending something made by hand feels like the warmest way to say, “I’m thinking of you.”

I tucked in a recipe card for the lemon blueberry muffins. Sending the recipe felt like a sweet way to share something familiar and comforting from afar. It turns the card into a keepsake she can use again and again — a little piece of home tucked inside her birthday envelope.

To complete the gift, I added a few extra surprises:

  • a lemon‑themed kitchen towel (because it matched the recipe and felt so sunny)

  • a lemon sponge (flat and easy to include but will pop into shape when added to water)

  • one of my handmade heart banners (a tiny token of love she can hang up and enjoy)

  • a lemon pen and bookmark

  • and a yellow happy birthday crown...just for fun!

Altogether, I hope it felt like a miniature celebration — a mix of handmade, practical, and playful.

Putting this package together reminded me how meaningful small gestures can be, especially when distance keeps us apart.

πŸ‹ Every detail becomes a way of sending joy, comfort, and a little bit of “home” through the mail. πŸ‹

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope this inspires you to add a few thoughtful extras to your next greeting card — sometimes those tiny touches make the biggest impact.

Stay Cozy,

Carrie
