POPCORN ANYONE?

Remember making popcorn in one of these?
It's the Jr Chef "See-it-Pop" Popcorn Popper.
Like the Easy Bake Oven...it operates using a 100 watt light bulb!

We sure had fun with this!
It's been in our family since the '60's!
Home popped popcorn & the" Ed Sullivan Show"...oh the days!

  2. Never had or saw one of these. It's all new to me! We had a hot air corn popper though when my kids were growing up. I LOVED the Ed Sullivan show though. One of our fav parts of Sunday evening, next to Bonanaza and Disney!

  6. Hmm. I've never seen this cutie before. In the Netherlands popcorn is not as popular as it is in the US. Love your colorful picture! Have a wonderful weekend.

  18. CARRIE! I may just have to come to California in person to THANK YOU for the information about paper piecing. Finally, I may be able to make a quilt! I watched the tutorial. Thank you for the link. I had never heard of this popping machine. Imagine that your family with so many children kept this in such great condition all of these years. It's wonderful! Have a great week ahead! Elizabeth

  21. I used to watch "Ed Sullivan". Who could forget the Beatles debut! Never really like Ed but it was what was on Sunday night and my parents watched it so did I. Mom used to make cheese and crackers as a snack while we watched. I don't remember that popper. I only ate popcorn at the movies until I was in junior high and then we had the aluminum pans with the long handles that you moved around the burner. Sounded like fireworks when all those kernals started popping away in the aluminum popper!
    Nice memories!

  25. We didn't have one of these. Back then we used to pop our corn in a pan with a little bit of oil. I too used to love to watch the Ed Sullivan show. Funny we had only 3 channels back then and I so looked forward to watching whatever was on. Now I feel like we have TV overload. As a whole the quality is lacking. Am I sounding old?

  26. I haven't seen one of those corn poppers in years. Hard to believe that a light bulb can pop the corn. The whole family used to watch Ed Sullivan on Sunday nights. What great memories.
