That's One Big Autograph Book!

Take a 15 year old daughter that asks if she can paint her wall...
Add a mom that has another creative idea...
and voila...
How about a signature wall?
And they have been signing on her wall ever since!

She keeps a bag of colored sharpie markers close at hand... They write or draw whatever strikes their fancy...
Some of it doesn't make much sense...at least not to me...but no matter....
Only thing is...now she never wants to paint "over" it!

  2. What a great mom to let your daughter and her friends do this over the years. I am not sure I would have been so brave!!

  3. That is a great idea and actually looks rather cute. But I must add that I don't think I would have the heart to let Joe do the same as boys a bit crazier than girls. :)

  4. I had a girlfriend growing up whose parents allowed her and her friends to draw all over the walls because they were going to paint it....she never did seem to paint over it either. :)

  5. That is a fun wall! :-) Someday, when she is all settled into her own house, she can come over and take a picture of it, so she can keep the memory, and then you can repaint it.

I also just love your story about Flat Sandy. Flat Stanley is one of my favourite kids books.
AND I will go check out the tea towel apron. (Thanks)

  19. When I was a kid one of my girlfriends had a wall upstairs by the phone that everyone signed.......I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Your daughter's is wonderful. I wish I'd have thought of this for mine. She would have loved it too.

    Warm blessings,

  20. That's awesome! I bet they love it. We used to right on the underside of my upper bunk bed. It would be neat to still have those boards. We also ended up doing it to the headliner in my friends Blazer. That thing was covered!

  23. That wall is awesome! I wrote on a wall with marker once, and it continues to bleed through even after using Kilz--several times! You might as well keep it forever because it is priceless!
