Tualatin's Traffic Signal Boxes are Getting a New Look!
The Tualatin Arts Advisory Committee has been working to add vinyl art wraps to the City's traffic signal boxes, to help turn these utilitarian cabinets into works of public art.
Here are a few of the designs.
Aren't they beautiful!
I guess they have been doing this in many communities for some time -
but our city began this art installment in 2021.
There are many more around town!
It just makes you smile when you spot one :)
Happy Friday,
Stay Cozy,
Carrie
I love it. Our town had artists paint the public trash cans that were on the main streets of town. Then after a new mayor was elected they spray painted them all back to a solid color. I missed the art, but then I had painted one of them, the one that sat in front of the post office.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! It reminds me of all the towns that are adding murals around town. Just makes people happy!
ReplyDeleteI've seen some of these in Houston but the ones you shared are even better. I'll be looking for more.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea!

What a nice idea and a fun way to dress up an otherwise plain looking box. I like seeing art like this
ReplyDeleteVery creative designs. I like the one with the flowers. People are so artistic and talented.
ReplyDeleteHappy month of August Carrie!

ReplyDeletePretty wraps. We have wraps on utility boxes here, too. They are a bright spot when driving around town.

ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea. And so very pretty! 😍
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty cool, I saw them somewhere when we were on vacation but I can't remember what city that was, I think it was in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I wish my town would do that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea. I love the whale! In my small town the schoolchildren get to paint them :)
