I’m not sure how I feel about this?
The thought of either of them out in that big old ocean with whatever is in there with them
makes me take a pause or two…or three! Yikes. He is only six!
But like a good grandma… I will simply bite my tongue and cheer them on…
While I am silently praying real hard.

Stay Cozy,

I would be the nervous one for sure. Too many creatures in the ocean. I dont even like to swim in it, and the times I have been just waded in a bit. Janice
ReplyDeleteI would be doing the same thing. Children seem to be able to do the most amazing things but it's not always easy to watch while biting our tongues. Their successes sure make for proud grandma moments though
ReplyDeleteI would worry too but look at how much fun they are having before they even get to the ocean.

I get it! But he is awfully cute!
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteGrandmothers often have to bite their tongues and keep on praying. Cute surfers!
ReplyDeleteOh Carrie, your post hit home for me, as I am from a family of surfers. My son and son-in-law and in-laws all have gone out in the great waters and surfed. My brother-in-law has even surfed Mavericks. But they are older now, and no surfing for them. This is the cutest picture of your grandson, but I totally understand how you are concerned. I was too. But I let them do what they were so passionate about. It's not easy, is it? Is this your son? He totally looks like a surfer. ; )

So cute!! It does look like ....Like Father like son!! I think our biggest asset in being a grandmother is in knowing how to pray for our babies.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. You've got a son like mine. Sometimes its better not to know.
ReplyDeleteCutie wants to be like his dad!
ReplyDeleteThis is too cute.
ReplyDeleteThey even look alike!
ReplyDeleteOregon ocean waters are not warm. They need those wetsuits.
Oh my they are both adorable!! I know what you mean - when I run into those moments of worry I just pray lots. Lol
ReplyDeleteI bet they have a blast!
ReplyDeleteYour son and grandson clearly have a lot of fun, enjoying their passion for the waves. I think I would feel the same as you though. My daughter in law has recently taken up flying lessons. She is doing really well but I still feel a bit jittery.
