This bowl holds the last of my pears and plums as summer is coming to an end.
I nabbed the plums from a neighbor's tree (with permission of course)
and the pears came from my daughter's generously producing tree.
They were so sweet and juicy.

I finished off the gift of zucchinis, also compliments of my daughter's garden,
by making this veggie lasagna.
She did a great job warding off the squirrels this year.
Seems as though colorful spinners from Dollar Tree were the answer to that problem.
And here are the last of the Lazy Susans and Hydrangeas from my garden.
They were just beautiful this year.
Only 6 more days of summer before Autumn is official.
It was 90 degrees here today!
I'm soaking in the warm sun before fall turns to winter and the flowers
are traded for crisp days of cozy fires and cups filled with hot cider.
Enjoy each season as it comes.
Stay Cozy,
Carrie
Those scones look so good and so does the lasagna. I used to have a pear tree. It never produced pears that were worth eating.
ReplyDeleteI am SO ready for cooler days! I'm cleaning up things around here before they get out of hand.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!

The scones and lasagna look good. You're making great use of that fresh produce.
ReplyDeleteI so love pears. Dang I should have bought some today at the grocery store. UGH Janice
ReplyDeleteSuch great uses of summer fruit. Here I'm using apples whenever I can! The lasagna looks great. I love the green vase holding your flowers.
ReplyDeleteYou made a gorgeous flower arrangement! And the scones look like a professional baker made them!
ReplyDeleteHi, Carrie! Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to me on my blog. I do love yours and will be following you on Blogger from here on out. By the way, my husband's paternal side is Italian, so we do love a good lasagna. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHello, my friend! So happy to see you blogging!!!! My kids love pears, and we have gotten some from the farmer's market. I just sliced one up today for Flynn! I hope you have some fall like temperatures soon. Have a cozy weekend!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so good. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYou have been making so many good things with foods from the garden and fruit trees. Your veggie lasagna looks delicious. So nice that you got some pears and plums from your daughter and neighbor. You know, pears used to be my favorite fruit as a child, until cherries took over haha. That green vase is really unique that holds the hydrangeas. Happy Autumn days, Carrie.

Nice way to use the fruit. I am picking the last of the zinnias. Things are drying up here we need rain very badly.
ReplyDeleteThe sun is a different angle now. Our days are beautiful high 70s but as soon as the sun goes down it gets very cool.

ReplyDeleteI've been a shut-in for the last week and would have loved a neighbor popping in with a serving of your amazing menu. Everything looks so good!!! Love the flowers and the pitcher that is gorgeous. Have a lovely week sweet blogging friend :)
ReplyDeleteAll the food ;looks so good. I'm trying to embrace the seasons as they come but Winter is pretty tough!
ReplyDeleteIt is finally cooling down here so it is starting to feel more like fall then middle of summer, our hummingbirds are still with us but I don't know for how long. How wonderful to be using the last of the harvest on such goodies. My flowers are all coming to an end too, looking pretty sparse, I love Autumn so much but it is sad to see things going away. good and bad in everything it seems
ReplyDeleteThose scones look delicious!
ReplyDeleteAfter weeks of being so busy I haven't been around to say hi, I am pleased that I was greeted with scones and lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteMy flower garden is ready to be put to rest. We had lots of rain yesterday, so it will be easy to pull weeds.
