✂️🎨Crafting Joy With Craft Roulette — Come Join In ✂️🎨

I participate in a very fun weekly card making challenge on YouTube called
CRAFT ROULETTE
It was started by Mary Gunn and her son Stephen the very day the world went on "Covid lockdown"! It's been going on ever since!

What is Craft Roulette?

Every episode, Mary spins a wheel to randomly determine four paper-crafting challenge parameters. These unexpected combinations spark creativity and push crafters of all skill levels to think outside the box. She invites a special guest to join her as they create their cards live during the show!

Project
Colors
Element
Random

When you have completed your card, you can send it in digitally...and the following week your card is in the showcase gallery where you can see all of the cards that have been sent in for that week.
People play from all over the world!
In addition, at the end of each show Mary spins the roulette wheel with everyone's name who participated in that challenge and 4-5 names are chosen at random to receive a prize.
It's all fun with no right or wrong - and no winners or losers (except for the prizes of course)
AND IT'S FREE!

There is even an optional birthday club.
I received so many handmade cards for my birthday last year!

Here is my card for THIS week.
You can interpret the parameters however they work for you - the only rules are that the card must be handmade, follow the parameters and be "family friendly".
The parameters last Friday were:
Project
Interactive card
Colors
Summer
Element
Here comes the bride
Random
Ink edging

My card is "Interactive" (Parameter #1) as the flower actually spins.

Blue and Green are very much "Summer Colors" Parameter #2

The "Here Comes the Bride" parameter #3 Something borrowed...something blue!

And the final Parameter #4 "Ink Edging" That was done around the hello sentiment.

If you like to make cards or if you think you might like to try it out...
Join Mary and a whole slew of fellow crafters on Friday nights at 4:30 Pacific Time.
It's truly a lot of fun!

  7. What a fun idea and love how it encourages creativity and community. :) I don't make cards as often as I used to but If I get back to that I would definitely give it a try! I LOVE the card you made. I have a thing for kites - I doodle them on paper all the time. I don't know why?? Lol Thanks for sharing! xo

  8. Hello Carrie, I absolutely love and appreciate your creative talent! I love the colours and design!
And thanks so much for your response to a comment I made on Ann's Scrap blog about the Early American channel on YouTube. I find it so relaxing and enjoyable to watch. With all the hustle and bustle of today, it is so nice to see those videos. They don't rush, they do everything the old fashioned way from the early 1800s and everything gets done. I hope you enjoy the videos.
I also love your blog background. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

  9. Very cute and a perfect summer card, I love how the kite is hanging off the edge like that, like the clouds behind that are on the inside, perfect for the challenge!

  16. Hello Carrie! Your cards are wonderful!!! I was into card making some 10-15 years ago but sewing was my real love, so I decided to focus on just that, which helped with storage issues for all my hobbies!!! You have a beautiful blog and a good sense of color, style, and fun.

  17. I passed on this one because it's easier to just buy those at the Dollar Tree.

  21. Very clever, incorporating all those prompts and making such a lovely card. I need to get my card mojo back but it seems to be taking a long siesta at the moment.
