I just had to go right out to buy a pattern and fabric to make my own!
I don't know about you...
...but sitting down and sewing just makes me feel good...
What I would love to find next is a dress form!
Voila...the finished product!
Happy Sewing!

It does match your blog wallpaper! Looks like an easy, fun sewing project and it looks terrific on you.
ReplyDeleteI haven't made clothes in years. My daughter-in-law started asking about smocking and I got out all the pictures of the dresses I use to make.
ReplyDeleteI am seeing the Lord use my creative passions to lift me from our unexpected changes and just creating seems to lift my spirits.
This is cute...yea, for you.
I did re-do my bedding for our temporary house and so enjoyed the sewing involved.
Thanks for the inspiration,
Janette
They call those patterns, "So easy" now. They used to be called "Jiffy." Oh I so want to do some of those, again.
ReplyDeleteAll I need to do is fire-up the sewing machine.
All I need to do...
All I need to do...
All I need to do...
Why is it never that easy? The pushing myself to do it part, I mean? -pout-

Hi Carrie! I purchased this pattern last week and haven't started it yet. I hope I can sew as well as you. I'm used to quilting, not pattern sewing. I bought my dress form on Etsy. Check it out, sometimes they have really good prices. Have a blessed Sunday!

How cute, summery and forgiving of my middle-aged spread. I'd like to order 50 of them in a variety of colors and prints....LOL
ReplyDeleteYour peasant top is so cute! I, too, wore them back in the 70's and now my 14 yr. old loves them. I'll have to see about getting that pattern and making some for her, and maybe me, too! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteWe're probably showing our age, but, yes, I wore those too back in the 70s. Here in Hawaii, they've made a comeback, this time we make them out of Hawaiian print fabric.
