Before & After and Urban Outfitters?

Since our couch is an L-shape with an ottoman...
...we needed a small table...with particular dimensions!

We were looking for a round one but then I spied this triangular -shape!
This table was for sale at "Urban Outfitters"!
From time-to-time they sell some of the furniture pieces they have used in displays, etc.
We were back-to-school shopping with our daughter~
~who knew we would find a table there! It was $20.00 (pricier than a garage sale but come on...Urban Outfitters?)
And after all...it was just the size we were looking for!

And Voila!
Isn't it fabulous?
Since the top and bottom pieces are veneer~
~ we used four coats of a high gloss paint. (48 hr. curing time)
The legs are real wood...so they were stripped and re-stained!

We are so pleased with the result!

  11. Happy Anniversary wishes! I love the gift from your husband. Too funny, this past Sunday when I opened the Parade magazine insert, there was a recipe for Green Tomato Breakfast Cake! I immediately thought of you! This tomato red table turned out beautifully! You always have the best decorating ideas. Elizabeth

  25. When you write and illustrate your book I guarantee it will be a best seller. Taking the "slightly used" and making it the "brand new and beautiful" is where you excel. I really enjoy reading your posts...always. This table looks like the perfect find when you finished with it.

It's perfect and what a great purchase! the new red paint really changed the table. You did a great job! I love it....
We have the same rug, yes we do....
When we moved I gave it to my daughter for her home. I really loved the rug but it did not fit in our new home.

    Have a sweet day,
