A "quilt top" finished....
...patchwork hearts
...and prairie points...
...but now the real work begins...
Piecing the top of a quilt is very peaceful for me...
the sound of the machine, guiding the fabric under the needle, the repetitive motions, the time alone to think and ponder....but when the top is completed...well that is when the work really starts for me.
Does somebody want to help me sandwich, quilt and bind this beauty?
Stay Cozy,
Carrie

ReplyDeleteCarrie, this is why I have so many ufos! I stop when I get to this point. It would be so much more fun to have someone to do it with.

ReplyDeleteHello Carrie, I've enjoyed catching up. I've always admired those who could quilt. You know I never graduated past the glue gun. It truly is a labor of love. You're quilt is beautiful and a lovely reminder of spring.

Dear One, thank you for your comment in my blog, saying; "God is who we should all turn to...for love and constant support!"
ReplyDeleteBut Dear One, I've spent years, coming to my path. I am an agnostic. Don't know if there was a Creator of this majestic Universe, or not. Don't have to know.
Because even if there was such a Creator, I can't see such a huge Creator, still bothering with all the "in's-and-out's" of we teeny, tiny beings, who evolved down here on one teeny, tiny planet, in the vastness of this huge, huge Universe. :-)
But I'm happy for you, that your Faith brings you security.
Gentle hugs,
~♥~
I so agree with you, the piecing is the enjoyable part when you're seeing the plan come together and each piece puts the colour puzzle together..it's exciting! The next part is where precision and patience is needed the most I feel, then it is very satisfying to finish it off and admire it. Yours will look georgeous! I love those prairie points around the outside.
ReplyDeleteNice work! If only I knew how to quilt, I'd help! So much intricate work!
ReplyDeletewhat a terrific idea...ok, that I can do...and I happen to have a few extra flannel pillow cases...great tut sweetie..
