Because of our rather "unexpected" downsizing last year...
all of my veggie gardening has to be done in pots on our deck.
But it works...
Come let me show you...
We have Yellow Squash & Green Zucchini,
Blueberries,
Tomatoes,
and Herbs.
There's room for Succulents,
Roses,
and a "Hot Tub" too!
We may have gotten "smaller"...
But we are truly blessed!
Staying Cozy,
Carrie
Smaller is great, that is just what we are trying to do. My MIL who is 98 still is growing tomatoes on her back porch in pots! Love your deck! :D
ReplyDeleteDo you have to have two blueberry bushes> ours is not producing berries and we have one plant.
ReplyDeleteWe have a court yard and decided it would work for us instead of a nice big yard.
I have my tomatoes in pots..but everything else is in the ground. I'm thinking next year, to put more in pots...you have a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI love your space and you have given me a lil hope I have gone all summer resenting my rental yard because I cant dig or plant here the way I want.(teary eyed). Tomorrow Im gonna stop poutin and go pick out some of my favorites and enjoy them on my porch.Thank you.Do you think its too late for ferns?
ReplyDeleteLove it! maybeI should do some veggies in pots like that! Your deck looks very cozy and inviting. we went on a garden walk in buffalo over the weekend and the yards are all very small in the city, but omg... the little gardens were sooooo awesome! I think I like them better then big ones.. and probably so much easier to take care of. Hope all is well there, looks like it is. I've been visiting you keeping track of the giant zuchinni cooking.. but just havent been leaving comments anywhere.. getting back on track now! have a great day!

It seems in your downsizing, you haven't had to do without...everything looks beautiful and at arms reach too!
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks great. You've made good use of your space.

ReplyDeleteI love what you have done with it!!!
ReplyDeleteI am growing tiny pumpkins in a pot on the deck .. and they are doing great!!
Have a great Tuesday
Your new gardens in the pots look so good. Wow, I am impressed.
ReplyDeleteAre you enjoying the downsizing. Tried to sell 2 years ago but didn't have any luck. Almost ready to try again. I want something smaller.
Great potted garden.
ReplyDeleteI did one tomato plant in a pot this year--it is doing ok.
Good Luck!
Melinda
Very nice! I love container gardening and I do a lot of it myself, but haven't gotten into vegetables or herbs...not yet anyway. Another advantage is you don't have to worry about the rabbits:) Sometimes less is more!
ReplyDeletep.s. your yard looks very cozy and I love the bird houses on the fence

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I love all the different pots you guys have in the back patio, and the spa must be just perfect to soak on those moonlit nights oxox, Diane
ReplyDeleteNow this is my kind of gardening. This really inspires me. I did not know one could have pots of vegtables growing on a porch. They all look so healthy too. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteYour plants looks sooo good! We went on vacation and I forgot about mine. I have dead plants :( Enjoy your veggies!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you have a beautiful garden!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joanne
You have made good use of your "garden" space. And a hot tub too. I am so blessed to have a little garden area to call my own. I agree, downsizing has been a blessing for us too. It makes you appreciate what is really important.
ReplyDeleteIt may be smaller, but you are making good use of every square inch! Very talented!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Carrie,
ReplyDeleteYou've done a marvelous job adjusting - using pots is so versatile! I love the look of your deck - definitely cozy!
