Our Potted Garden...

Because of our rather "unexpected" downsizing last year...
all of my veggie gardening has to be done in pots on our deck.
But it works...
Come let me show you...

We have Yellow Squash & Green Zucchini,
 Blueberries,

 Tomatoes,

and Herbs.

There's room for Succulents,

 Roses,

and a  "Hot Tub" too!

We may have gotten "smaller"...

But we are truly blessed!

Staying Cozy,
Carrie

  1. Smaller is great, that is just what we are trying to do. My MIL who is 98 still is growing tomatoes on her back porch in pots! Love your deck! :D

  2. Do you have to have two blueberry bushes> ours is not producing berries and we have one plant.
We have a court yard and decided it would work for us instead of a nice big yard.

  5. Love it! maybeI should do some veggies in pots like that! Your deck looks very cozy and inviting. we went on a garden walk in buffalo over the weekend and the yards are all very small in the city, but omg... the little gardens were sooooo awesome! I think I like them better then big ones.. and probably so much easier to take care of. Hope all is well there, looks like it is. I've been visiting you keeping track of the giant zuchinni cooking.. but just havent been leaving comments anywhere.. getting back on track now! have a great day!

Are you enjoying the downsizing. Tried to sell 2 years ago but didn't have any luck. Almost ready to try again. I want something smaller.

  12. Very nice! I love container gardening and I do a lot of it myself, but haven't gotten into vegetables or herbs...not yet anyway. Another advantage is you don't have to worry about the rabbits:) Sometimes less is more!

p.s. your yard looks very cozy and I love the bird houses on the fence

  16. Now this is my kind of gardening. This really inspires me. I did not know one could have pots of vegtables growing on a porch. They all look so healthy too. Thanks for sharing this.

  19. You have made good use of your "garden" space. And a hot tub too. I am so blessed to have a little garden area to call my own. I agree, downsizing has been a blessing for us too. It makes you appreciate what is really important.
